Sep 25, 2018·ALL soap, even the MP base is made with lye. The reason that lye is used so often in natural handmade soaps is because there is NO other way to make it. Without Lye, you do NOT have soap. Period. The MP bases are “making soap without lye” because the company that has made the base has already made the soap and used the lye for you.
